Why to install Google Analytics 4? Few days left

Marketers and Business Owners of all sizes should have migrated by now.

With only a few days left until July 1, we must prepare for the change, or risk a disruption in measurement. On the other hand, there is a lot of speculation about the possible impact on SEO.

We all want our companies to grow, we want to bill more, and for them we need more customers. For this, we need to improve the SEO positioning of the website in Google. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the next generation of Analytics that revolutionizes data collection by capturing event-based insights across websites and apps.

In a study published by Gregory Saita on Linkedin, it was found that in 2021 only two-thirds (64%) of small businesses had a website, furthermore:

  • 41% of businesses without websites say that “your business doesn’t need a website.”
  • However, among small businesses without a website, 29% plan to have one by 2021.
  • 79% of entrepreneurs with a website expect to grow at least 25% in the next 3-5 years, compared to 64% of those without a website

As of July 1, 2023, Universal Analytics standard properties will no longer be capturing or processing data. While you will still have access to your Universal Analytics reports for a period after that date, all new data will only flow to GA4 properties.

To get started with GA4, there are three options available to editors or administrators:

Option 1: Set up Analytics data collection for the first time. It is suitable if the website is new, and is ready to collect data.

Option 2: Linking Google Analytics 4 to a site with Universal Analytics (“Classic” Analytics) involves the GA4 setup wizard adding a Google Analytics 4 property alongside your existing Universal Analytics property. Both properties can be accessed through the property selector in the admin area.

Option 3: – Add Google Analytics 4 to a website building platform or CMS (content management system). Some recommend this option if you have a CMS-hosted website built with platforms like Wix, WordPress, GoDaddy, WooCommerce, Shopify…etc, we recommend not doing it directly in the website template, use Google Tag Manager instead.
